Verzuz celebrates the Christmas season on Saturday with a duel between the two Bay Area legends, E-40 and Too Short.

Speaking to Complex as they prepared for their fight, the couple stated that regardless of what happens in the end, the event is a win for the bay.

« No matter how it comes out, no matter who you think got the most hits or whatever, it’s still a win-win, » said E-40. « It’s an eye on the bay. We never get our shine like we should and this is a great opportunity so I appreciate Swizz Beatz and Timbaland and Larry Jackson and everyone at Verzuz who got us locked in. ”

Too Short also said, “We have a clear friendship and competition at all times. It won’t be any different. It’s still like that my boy is – and we’ll laugh before, during, and after – we’re still trying to show up and shine and make this look good for the bay and for our individual selves. ”

Today’s Verzuz is with a reported manufacturing production budget of 500. $ 000 as the most extravagant and expensive rate yet. According to TMZ, the event will take place on a stage in Northern California equipped with a world-class lighting system and two old-school cars behind the performers.
