Earlier this season, Tony Pollard absolutely murdered the Dallas Cowboys’ kick-return game. His first attempt of the night was similar, a 15-yard return that put the team in a poor field position. The second was much, much better.
After the defense allowed Lamar Jackson to rip his soft teeth for an untouched touchdown, Pollard stepped 67 yards to give the Cowboys a short field for the second time that night.
This time the offense could capitalize. Michael Gallup broke up in the end zone for the second time that night, but this time Andy Dalton was not missing.
Pollard’s game marks the third kick-return rating of more than 60 yards this season for the Cowboys. This is a significant improvement over the iterations of the special teams in previous years. For Gallup, this is his first taste of Pay Dirt since week 3.
