That was a good first week for Gonzaga on the pitch, wasn’t it? The Zags reinforced their pre-season hype with two games in Florida and appear to be above the rest of the field with Baylor at the moment. After watching the first week of the game and seeing how the blue blood cells looked against each other during the Champions Classic on Tuesday night, it seems pretty clear to me that there is a huge gap between the top two teams in the leaderboard and other potential players passes national title contenders. Of course these are still early days and there is plenty of time for the teams to improve as the season progresses.
