Against Saturday’s Utah Jazz, Curry sank his 2,561. Three-pointer and finished second in NBA history. In doing so, he surpassed the Indiana Pacers legend, Reggie Miller. Only Ray Allen stays ahead of Curry with 2,973 threes.

As soon as Curry’s shot was fired – a catch-and-shoot from the corner of a screen – the guard held the three No. 3s with one hand and the No. 1 with him the other up and paid his respects to Miller by flashing the star jersey number.

It took Curry 715 games over 12 seasons to dwarf Miller while 43.3 percent was shot behind the bow. Curry scored at least 200 three-points in seven of those seasons and topped the 300 threesome three times, including a record of 402 in 2015-16.

Miller played almost twice as many games (1,389), shooting 39.5 percent and it took 18 years to create 2,560 three as one of the most productive threats of its time. It took Allen 1,300 games to set the record of 2,973 while shooting 40 percent behind the bow.

As long as Curry stays healthy, he’ll most likely be the NBA’s three-point leader.

Allen left retired at age 38, while Miller called it career at age 39. Curry is still 32 years old and his shot stays as pure as ever.
