The series of thirteen races will be played between INEOS Team UK from Great Britain and Itays Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli. The first team to win seven races will win the Prada Cup, the qualifying series for the America’s Cup 2021. Sailing’s Prada Cup Challenger Series will be held in Auckland, New Zealand from February 13-22.

The Prada Cup is the regatta of the first stage of what is perhaps the most prestigious international sailing event, the America’s Cup.
This is the first Prada Cup (officially called the Louis Vuitton Cup), and three challengers fight for the last place in the 36th edition of the America’s Cup against the Emirates Team New Zealand.
This series of challengers consists of four round robin races, a semi-final and the final. Ineos Team UK, Luna Rossa Challenge from Italy and American Magic from New York have already completed two of the Round Robins. The American team capsizes on January 17th.
The third and fourth round robins have been postponed – Race 2 of the third round Robin was supposed to take place on January 22nd, but was postponed one day to January 23rd while everyone three races (including the « ghost race ») of the round took place Robin 4 will take place from January 23rd to 24th.
