It’s been a couple of wet days in the region but some better weather is on the way.
Bundaberg has recorded falls of up to 34mm in the past seven days. The downpours are expected to continue on Wednesday before it clears on Thursday.
Wednesday’s weather will be the result of a weather system drawn in from the west that is expected to sweep showers off the coast by Thursday.
Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist James Thompson said that later in the week morning temperatures will also drop to 18 degrees or less.
« We’re seeing temperatures of 30 to 31 degrees from Thursday, so we don’t see things getting too cool, » he said.
« If we see drier air moving towards the end of the week, things will be less humid and morning temperatures will drop to about 18 degrees or less. »
« We could see decent or even severe thunderstorms that bring in some thunder, lightning, and even noxious winds if you’re right below, » he said.
« It’s a bit tricky, but we could see some serious falls in the morning, but more like the storms in the evening.
« We expect the heavier falls to be a little more isolated than the people of southeast and north New South Wales. »
