Jerusalem: The international force monitoring the Israeli-Egyptian peace agreement said on Thursday that eight peacekeepers, including six Americans, were killed when one of its helicopters crashed during a routine mission in the Egyptian Sinai Peninsula. A ninth peacekeeper was seriously wounded, and the multinational force and observers said that a French peacekeeper and a Czech member of the force were also killed, and the names of the dead were not published, awaiting notification of their families, adding that the wounded peacekeeper was an American.
