Guys’ N’ Dolls singer and Bruce Forsyth’s son-in-law Dominic Grant passed away at age 71, his family confirms

Family of Guys ‘N’ Dolls singer Dominic Grant said he passed away at the age of 71.

A statement issued on behalf of the late Dominic’s wife reads the following: “It is with great sadness that I must tell you that I lost my beloved Dominic, suddenly on Wednesday, November 18th, due to an abdominal aortic aneurysm..

“He was gentle, strong, and enduring the life and soul of the party. His distinctive and beautiful voice will last forever – I would never have loved him more and not quite know what our family would do without him. . . It was our bright star.

Dominic was best known for being a part of Guys ‘N’ Dolls, a massively successful pop band in the 1970s.

He was also a son-in-law to late host Bruce Forsyth, whose father was Julia Forsyth’s wife.

Julia was also in the band, which started gaining huge following in the late 1970s.

Their singles include « There’s a lot to love and you shouldn’t say you love me », both of which stormed into the UK’s top 10.

After the six-piece set go their separate ways, Dominic and Julia decide to go on stage together..

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Sir Bruce’s father-in-law’s career in entertainment, Dominic created a gorgeous bronze bust of him in 2005.

Dominic dedicated one of his works, a statue of King George IV, to the coastal town of Ramsgate in Kentish, to mark 200 years since the king was made the only royal harbor in the United Kingdom.
