In the first test, the pitch was friends with Ishant Sharma and said it was like bowling on a street. India struggled to pick wickets for the first two days, and by the time they came out to strike the field had started spinning on the third day. The loss of the throw in the first test led to a test match in India.
The second test is very important for India. You cannot go to Ahmedabad for the final two Tests as they are in the 0-2 series. India needs a win from the standpoint of the World Testing Championship too. You need at least a 2-1 lead to make the final clash with New Zealand at Lord’s.
