Gavin and Stacey creator Ruth Jones has announced that there are no plans to write new material for the award-winning BBC series.

Ruth’s most recent TV appearance comes after the BBC confirmed that Gavin and Stacey will be returning to the station in the future.

BBC television director Charlotte Moore said a Christmas special « wasn’t going to happen this year » before adding « someday ». .

Ruth and her co-writer James von Gavin and Stacey pointed out the future of the BBC series back in April.
